Has commercial sword fishing harmed the sword fish population?

Sword fish used to be more abundant and the average size of the sword fish used to be larger. However, modern commercial sword fishing has taken its toll upon the sword fish population. Now an average sword fish will weigh approximately 200 pounds.

Is it difficult to pair a good wine with sword fish?

Wine reviewers agree that it is relatively easy to find a good wine both to cook with and serve with your sword fish dinner. Perhaps that is one of the reasons that sword fish is so popular. The easiest choice is a Chardonnay, but if you ask your wine salesperson you'll find that a number of other wines work just as well.

Can sword fish be cooked on a barbecue grill?

Sword fish is an excellent choice for a summer barbecue. To tenderize the meat marinade it. Be sure to use a nonstick cooking spray like Pam on the grill because sword fish tends to stick. Also, don't forget to serve with fresh lemon wedges.
